Summertime tent in the back yard

I won't cry about not keeping up my blog... but it is a little sad, isn't it??? Time is going so fast - sadly, school is starting in a couple of weeks. I hate it. We had such a fun trip to Colorado to visit family (thanks, we love you!  Someday I will send you a CD with pictures on it!)  I had a really busy week of trying to catch up on work - one day I actually had overcast skies and a bunch of photography here in our yard, so I set up a "reading tent" and first did some pictures there, then Zoe posed for some marshmallows. :)  Then the kids took out beanbags and we read for awhile out there.











One funny Zoeism is that she's obsessed with the song "Praise to the Man". She sings it around the house all the time. Our primary music leader is such a wonderful musician - she uses dynamics etc. So Zoe loves to have us all sing it "correctly" with the first part quiet, then loud at the beginning of the chorus, then quiet again. Recently she's been rebelling and singing the whole chorus at the top of her lungs (though she says she doesn't do that in primary). She even uses it for her tooth-brushing song. I need to take a movie of her singing it while having her teeth brushed and laughing, all at the same time.
